Release Day/ Lesson’s Learned

AURORA LEVINE-2

Well today is the big day, and without a whole lot of pomp or circumstance, my first novel will go live.  After all the weeks of worry and stress trying to finish the edits, it’s release day, and I feel calmer than I expected.  I suppose it’s because my mind is already focused on books number 2, 3 and 4.

Lessons learned.  Promotion is harder than it looks.  For my next novel, I’ve decided to be more agressive with my marketing.  I’m creating teasers early and paying facebook to boost a few of my posts and my page.  I’m also going to try to be active on my social media accounts, and I’m toying with the idea of starting a newsletter.  Although, at this point I have nothing to put in it, and am not sure I should add one more writing task to my plate.

How did the launch of your debut novel go?  Is there anything you’d do differently?

XoXo
